As the year 2020 drew to a close, the mobile gaming landscape saw train enthusiasts in France engage more with their favorite locomotive simulations. Sensor Tower provides us with a comprehensive look at how the top five train games performed in the fourth quarter.

City Train Driver Game 2020 by Imperial Arts Pty Ltd showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at 4.3K in late September and reaching over 6K by the end of December. Weekly active users reflected a similar trend, with an increase from around 10.7K to nearly 14K in the same period.

Train Station 2: Steam Empire, developed by Pixel Federation Games, not only saw a significant rise in downloads from 3.2K to over 7.3K, but also a notable uptick in weekly active users, growing from 25.8K to over 35.5K. Revenue for this title also remained strong, with a peak of over $7.8K in one week in November.

The Cyprus-based SayGames LTD's Train Taxi witnessed fluctuating download numbers, with a high of 5.2K in late October. The weekly active user base for Train Taxi peaked at over 15K in the same month.

Highbrow Interactive's Euro Train Sim 2 from India saw a modest performance in terms of downloads, hovering around 2K for most of the quarter, and a slight dip in active users from 1.4K to below 1K by the year's end.

Hyper Train by Suji Games, despite being a new release in October 2020, had an initial surge in downloads reaching 3.9K towards the end of October but saw a decline thereafter. Since the game did not generate revenue, the focus remained on its downloads and active user trends, which settled at 715 downloads and approximately 2.2K active users by the end of December.
